Robert A. Clayton is a photographic artist whose career has spanned five decades. He founded Robert A. Clayton Photography on June 1, 1976, and acquired Main Street Studio in 1995.
Bob is a member in good standing of the Professional Photographers of America. His professional service includes serving as president of the Professional Photographers of Southwestern Ohio, chairman of the Certified Professional Photographers of Ohio, and an elected representative on the board of directors of the Professional Photographers of Ohio for 11 years.
He has presented programs to professional photography groups across the country on “Stress Less Weddings.” Through a Professional Photographers of America continuing education program, he has also taught “Digital Photography for the Small Studio” to fellow professional photographers.
Beyond photography, Bob has been deeply involved in his community. He is a past president of the Vandalia Rotary Club, was named Vandalia Rotarian of the Year in 1991, and is a past president of the Vandalia-Butler Historical Society.
Bob is also a licensed private pilot and past president of the Daycon Aero Club. An avid sailor, he has sailed all five Great Lakes, the Chesapeake Bay twice, the Gulf Coast of Florida, the Bahamas, and the coast of Maine four times.
